About Us
Some problems you grow up watching for so long, you stop believing they can be fixed.
I grew up sitting in living rooms where parents complained about the education system, and students sat next to them, clueless about what they were actually working toward. They mugged up everything. Got the marks. Got the degree. Then stepped into the real world and discovered how little of it translated.
I wasn’t any different.
My first job didn’t come because of my degree. It came because I was curious, eager, and willing to figure things out. But every job after that was so different from the last that I constantly felt unprepared, underskilled. Like I was starting from zero every single time.
Then I started hiring people at a startup, with no training budget, no runway for hand-holding. And I watched smart, willing candidates sit across from me with the same look I’d had: clueless about how to actually do the work. We had to let people go. Not because they weren’t capable. Because nobody had ever put them to work before.
This gap, between what people learn and what work actually demands, isn't small. It affects something people will spend their entire lives doing
Work isn’t a phase. It’s not something you figure out eventually. It’s lifelong. It deserves to be taken seriously. That moment made something click, and it’s why I built Karmkar.
THE NAME
The name was thoughtfully crafted to align with the philosophy.
कर्म कर, फल की चिंता मत कर
Do the work. Don’t fixate on the outcome.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
You don't get better at work by learning about it.
You get better by doing it,
badly at first, then less badly, then well.
So we don’t start with lectures. We start with tasks. Real ones, the kind you’d actually be expected to handle in a job. You work through them, get feedback from people who’ve done this professionally, improve your work, and do it again.
By the end, you don’t just know more. You have proof. Five to six pieces of real work you can put in front of anyone, an employer, a client, yourself and say: I made this.
This is for the person who’s done learning without anything to show for it.
You’re not here to collect another certificate.
You’re here to actually get good.
Welcome to Karmkar
